Rendang
Rendang is a rich, spicy beef or chicken dish from the Minangkabau of West Sumatra, traditionally served at ceremonies and to honor guests. Slow-cooked in coconut milk and a blend of spices like ginger, garlic, turmeric leaves, and lemongrass, it becomes tender with deep flavor. Named CNN’s best dish in 2011 and one of Indonesia’s five national dishes, rendang is enjoyed with rice and vegetable sides.

Rendang & Co, the name of our restaurant, simply means Rendang and its “company”. Using local Javanese language, we jokingly says Rendang & Co means “Rendang dan konco-koncone” (Rendang and its friends). So, this restaurant is about Rendang and other foods that represents the rich variety of Indonesian foods for you to explore and enjoy.

Rendang & Co Indonesian Bistro began with a simple mission: to bring the vibrant flavors and heartfelt traditions of Indonesia to the Tulsa community. We first introduced a variety of instant spices produced by Hikmah Fajar, and the enthusiastic response from our customers inspired us to grow and evolve into a full-service restaurant.
